Study grants and micro grants are primarily designed to support under-served areas, where research in the field of environmental and resource economics is at a fledgling stage. The purpose of these grants is to raise the quality of the proposed research through deep training in empirical analyses.
Study and Micro Grants are by invitation only.
Study grants are designed to support novice researchers to develop proposals, review literature, and make field visits so that they are able to write a good research proposal to apply for a full-fledged SANDEE research grant.
Micro grants are designed to support novice researchers to develop proposals, go to the field for data collection, analyze data and write a report, but at a level that will allow them build on this work and then apply for a full-fledged SANDEE research grant.
