Course in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics, Sri

SANDEE organised a three-week basic training course in Environmental
Economics for Economists, in Sri Lanka from June 17 –
July 04, 2004. This basic course was meant for economists
interested in upgrading their skills and learning related
to Environmental Economics. The course covered economic issues
underlying sustainable development, poverty-environment interactions,
natural resource use and pollution management. Participants
were exposed to basic theoretical issues and economic tools
and methodologies for analyzing environmental problems in
developing countries. Faculty included experts from within
and outside the South Asia region. |
