SANDEE organised a three-week basic training
course in Environmental and Natural Resource Economic, in
Bangalore, India from July 1st – 20th, 2005. This
basic course was meant for economists interested in upgrading
their skills and learning related to Environmental Economics.
The course covered economic issues underlying sustainable
development, poverty-environment interactions, and natural
resource use and pollution management. Participants were
exposed to basic theoretical issues and economic tools and
methodologies for analyzing environmental problems in developing
countries. Faculty included experts from within and outside
the South Asia region.
