Welcome to SANDEE
The South Asian Network for Development and Environmental Economics (SANDEE) is a regional network that seeks to bring together analysts from the different countries in South Asia to address environment-development problems. SANDEE's mission is to strengthen the capacity of individuals and institutions in South Asia to undertake research on the inter-linkages among economic development, poverty and environmental change and to disseminate practical information that can be applied to development policies.

    This book, edited by SANDEEites Rucha Ghate, N.S. Jodha and Pranab Mukhopadhyay, was recently published by Oxford University Press, UK. The contributors to the book range from Sir Partha Dasgupta in Cambridge to a host of colleagues from Nepal, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Sri Lanka. The book is largely based on SANDEE research. The book is available from Oxford University Press

 

John Kenneth Galbraith Prize 2007 to Professor Sir Partha Dasgupta
We are delighted to announce that Professor Sir Partha Dasgupta has won the John Kenneth Galbraith Prize 2007 given by the American Agricultural Economics Association for 2007. The 2006 recipient was Prof. Ken Arrow. Congratulations from all of us!
